Primadonna 2021 is going ahead ‘in real life’ at a new venue – the Museum of East Anglian Life – from 30 July – 1 August.

Primadonna is the first literary festival in the UK to specifically give prominence to the writing of women and non-binary people, as well as artists of all genders, ethnicities and economic status whose voices are not often enough heard in the mainstream.

It has all the things you’d expect from a book festival Ð big name writers, poets, performances, readings, interviews and analysis Ð and plenty more that you might not: live music, DJs, comedy, cook-a-longs, kids and craft activities, wellness, and film premieres.

CONFIRMED SO FAR: Adele Parks, Anita Sethi, Catherine Mayer, Andi Oliver, Kit de Waal, Grace Dent, Helen Lederer, Juno Dawson, Saima Mir, Lennie Goodings, Shola Mos-Shogbamimu, Naoise Dolan, Christy Lefteri, Michele Roberts, Stella Duffy and Tracey Thorn.

There’s something for everyone: from nature writing to riot grrrrl, bonkbusters to menopause, it’s three days of fun that will make you think, might make you mad, and will definitely make you smile. We call it ‘the world as it should be, for one weekend.’
