Bradford Literature Festival is excited to welcome Woman’s Hour presenter and Radio 4 favourite, the wonderfully witty, Jenni Murray. Her latest book, A History of Britain in 21 Women, tears down the patriarchal curtain of history and shines new light on some of the remarkable and trailblazing women whose intellect, passion and sheer determination have helped to make Britain what it is today.

From warrior queen Boadicea and playwright-turned-spy, Aphra Behn, to 1960s fashion icon, Mary Quant, this event will celebrate the pioneering achievements of Britain’s feistiest females, from centuries gone by to the modern day. Join us as we travel through time, pick up a few forgotten facts and indulge in the company of these brilliant and truly inspirational women. Accompanied by chair Remona Aly, sit back, relax and allow yourselves to be transported.

After all, Jenni’s voice has been described as “the most beautiful voice on the radio, ever.”
