Five debut Young Adult authors are currently visiting UK bookshops, libraries and schools as part of their Lost and Found tour. Olivia Levez, Patrice Lawrence, Sue Wallman, Kathryn Evans and Eugene Lambert all write in a variety of genres, ranging from contemporary, thriller and science fiction. Critically acclaimed, each book is linked by its common themes of family, self-discovery and redemption.


Patrice, Sue, Kathryn, Olivia and Eugene will take part in a panel discussion of their books, themes and own journey to publication and beyond as debut authors. Afterwards, there will be a chance for the audience to ask questions, followed by a book signing. Whether you’ve written a book, are interested in being published, or have a passion for YA fiction, this is your chance to find out more about the industry and chat to its rising stars.


Orangeboy by Patrice Lawrence has been nominated for many prizes, including the prestigious Carnegie Medal. It has been recently shortlisted for the Costa Book Award 2016.


Lying About Last Summer by Sue Wallman has been selected for the Zoella Book Club, as well as being short-listed for the Worcestershire Teen Book Award 2017.


More of Me by Kathryn Evans has been translated into multiple languages, won the EIBF First Book Award, and has been nominated for the 2017 Carnegie Medal, it’s also been longlisted for a number of regional book awards and was described as:

The Island by Olivia Levez gained a starred review in Publishers Weekly and was named one of BookSmuggler’s Best Feminist Reads for 2016 by Kelly Jensen. “This is a female-driven survival story.
