Amy Beashel

Amy Beashel

When she was fourteen, Amy Beashel and her friend wrote a comedy sketch called I Believe in Women's Rights. Two, maybe even three, people actually laughed when they heard it.

Years later, Amy still believes. And she still writes. Her debut novel is where those two passions collide. Writing in a time when girls' bodies are literally up for grabs, Amy hopes this story will inspire young women to speak out, stand strong and know those women's rights are, despite Amy's fourteen-year-old comedy genius, no joke.

Amy, who is, by the way, the fastest woman in the world on a space hopper, lives in Shropshire with her husband, two kids and a couple of kittens called Bird and Cat Dooku.
