Kintu shortlisted for the Edward Stanford Travel Writing Awards

Kintu by Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi has been shortlisted for the Edward Stanford Travel Writing Awards.

Stanfords revealed the shortlist last night (10th January) at their new London premises. Kintu has been selected for the ‘Fiction, with a Sense of Place’ category alongside the following titles:

Convenience Store Woman, Sayaka Murata (Translated by Ginny Tapley Takemori) 
Ponti, Sharlene Teo 
The Madonna of the Mountains, Elise Valmorbida 
Woman At Sea, Catherine Poulain 
House of Stone, Novuyo Rosa Tshuma 

The winner will be revealed at an awards ceremony on 28th February.
