Iain Sinclair – Faversham Literary Festival

Iain Sinclair, psychogeographer, filmmaker, poet and keeper of lost cultures. His latest work, The Last London, published in September 2017, is the final chapter in his life-long odyssey through the city, his final reckoning with a capital stretched beyond recognition. Iain will be in conversation with artist, writer and filmmaker Andrew Kötting, with whom he undertook his most recent walking project, along Roman Watling Street from Dover, through Kent to Westminster. Kötting’s film of this walk will also feature. 

Iain Sinclair’s other books include London Orbital: A Walk Around the M25Lights out for the TerritoryEdge of the Orison (2005), Downriver(1991); Landor’s Tower (2001); White Goods (2002); Dining on Stones (2004); and Hackney: That Rose-Red Empire, which was shortlisted for the 2010 Ondaatje Award. He writes for the London Review of Books and the Guardian. In 2015 Iain joined the University of Kent’s School of English as its first Guest Professor of Creative Writing.
